Overview
Located close to the historic origins of Qatar’s capital city, this 35-hectare site will create a modern place to live and work, reflecting Qatari history and culture.
Divided into five multi-billion-riyal construction phases, the design has four distinct areas; the Heritage Quarter, the Retail Quarter, the Kahraba Quarter and the Nakheel Quarter.
With temperatures reaching 50 degrees centigrade in summer, outdoor areas have been designed with external mechanical cooling and an innovative fabric shading system.
