Life Cycle Cost Modelling
Rider Levett Bucknall's Life Cycle Cost Modelling service is our response to the challenges property owners face in reconciling commercial viability with efficiency, sustainability and environmental sensitivity throughout a structure's life cycle. Using our model, owners can develop facilities which are not only cost effective to construct but are operationally efficient over their life span.
Sophisticated owners recognise that the capital cost of a facility may be less significant when compared with the total cost of ownership over time. An integrated Life Cycle Cost model enables capital and life cycle characteristics of individual components, elements and whole buildings to be modelled and forecasted over the life of a proposed facility. Interdependencies between variables are established and comparison of multiple options linked to benchmarks such as Green Star and NABERS ratings provides a frame of reference for making important long term investment decisions. The model can also be used to review carbon footprint, energy, CO2 consumption and water consumption.
This approach also assists owners with separately funded capital and operating budgets to understand the long term impact of capital decisions
The Rider Levett Bucknall model can be used at all stages of the asset life cycle from inception, through design development and into operation.
