From inception, the Randwick facility in Sydney was designed to be the finest residential aged care campus in Australia and to rival the very best in the world.
Once a vacant brown field, the site now provides a premium level of health care in 5 star accommodation for 276 residents in low-care hostel, high-care nursing home and dementia specific settings. The 2.94-hectare site also incorporates an indoor hydrotherapy pool, a day-care facility for the aged providing outreach services, hairdressing salon, boutique, cafe and substantial award-winning garden areas.
Rider Levett Bucknall provided cost and delivery advice for the facility, which incorporates a host of innovative design concepts and modern technologies to enhance the quality of life of its residents.
The Sir Montefiore Home was awarded a 2009 Property Council of Australia Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Award.
