STELLENBOSCH HIGH SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD
This cutting-edge facility features a 400m 8-lane track, pole vault run-ups, sandpits, and a high jump area.
The World Athletics Certified Class 2 synthetic track, located at Stellenbosch High School in the Western Cape, was designed and built by Trompie Sport in partnership with Rekortan, a globally recognised brand for synthetic running surfaces. All areas were surfaced with the durable Hertha Blue Rekortan M, a material known for its longevity, force reduction, and use in top-tier competitions worldwide. The project scope also included field lighting and the installation of embankment seating.
As quantity surveyors, we provided full-scope services from inception to completion – ensuring cost efficiency, effective procurement, and rigorous financial oversight throughout. Our involvement helped deliver a high-performance track designed to support both training and competitive events. At RLB, we cost sports venues with our eyes firmly fixed on long-term value – and that means delivering an exceptional sporting experience today, with enduring community benefits tomorrow.
With South Africa’s strong sporting culture, this project is set to make a lasting impact on the development of young talent in the region by providing access to a professional-grade facility.
