Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), a global property and construction consultancy, has announced a leadership transition in its Phoenix office, ensuring continued client success while enhancing regional support across the Southwest and West Coast regions.
RLB is delighted to share important leadership changes that highlight the firm’s continuous growth and dedication to excellence. Scott Macpherson has expanded his scope to a regional leadership role, while Joel Brown has stepped into the position of Phoenix Office Lead. With nearly two decades at RLB, Joel’s comprehensive experience and rich insight of the firm’s client relationships and service standards make him a natural fit for this new role. Within Scott’s new regional role, he will still play an integral part in supporting the Phoenix office, ensuring a smooth transition and preserving the high-level of service that RLB’s clients have come to expect. These changes mark a fresh opportunity as RLB expands its business and strengthens its leadership.

Scott Macpherson, MRICS is an Executive Vice President and a member of RLB’s Board of Directors. With 30 years of experience, Scott’s efforts are focused on business development, office operations and technical construction cost estimating on behalf of Owner’s and Architects. His technical expertise includes budgeting and cost planning, cost management, value analysis, milestone construction cost estimating, life cycle cost exercises and cost to complete studies for conceptual design and feasibility studies through to post contract reviews. He is current in construction pricing, materials and methodologies.

Joel Brown, a Vice President at RLB, a LEED Accredited Professional, as well as, a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), brings over two decades of expertise in the construction industry. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Abertay in Dundee, Scotland, his skills cover estimating, change order review, and post-contract administration, with experience as both a consultant and contractor. Joel has contributed to a wide range of projects, including commercial facilities for Google and DreamWorks, government data centers for the FDIC and GSA, and advanced university research centers. His work spans projects of all sizes, from $100,000 to $3 billion.
