Chris Haines
Project Director

Chris Haines is a Project Director of RLB in Auckland. He was formally a Director of RLB in Auckland for 12 years.
Starting his career at Davis Langdon in the United Kingdom, Chris joined RLB in New Zealand in 2007 as a senior quantity surveyor and opened the RLB Queenstown Office in 2008 and the RLB Dunedin Office in 2021.
With over 28 years’ experience in the construction industry, Chris now has a focus on leading and delivering major projects and advisory services for RLB. He is currently working on Scott Base for Antarctica New Zealand, the Plant Health and Environmental Capability (PHEC) project for MPI and Te Manawataki o Te Papa Civic Precinct for Tauranga City Council.
He uses his expertise in feasibility reporting, advisory, business case submissions, cost planning, QRA, procurement and cost management in a variety of sectors. These include tertiary education, public and civic buildings, hotels and resorts, retail, health, research facilities, residential, sports and recreation.
He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Quantity Surveying from Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom.
