STUDIO ARTS BUILDING, UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS AMHERST

This new 51,000 square-foot Studio Arts Building for the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus, houses both faculty and student work, as well as studio spaces, modern support shops, and a central commons space.

It also includes flexible instructional studios, a digital studio with high-end computer graphics resources, a new instructional darkroom and a critique/lecture room. The building brings together a variety of arts-related programs and utilizes sustainable building materials, operable windows for natural ventilation, and various energy- and water-conserving measures.
