Construction Forensic Destructive Testing

Advisory

Construction Forensic Destructive Testing

Unfortunately, building or infrastructure damage is a common occurrence. Determining the cause of such damage can often be achieved through visual observation. However, when visual inspection alone is not sufficient, we employ Destructive Testing (DT). DT is the selective removal and/or testing process of certain existing construction components which allow access and reporting to elements which are not otherwise evident by visual observation.

Destructive Testing for Construction Disputes

Destructive testing (DT) is crucial for resolving construction disputes by determining damage causes and providing critical evidence. At RLB, our expert team guides you through the DT process, ensuring you have accurate information for sound decisions. DT aids in negotiations and provides essential evidence for trials, ensuring successful resolutions to construction disputes.

DT Services

DT Services include design and other construction document reviews, on-site destructive testing coordination and scheduling, procurement and management of contractors to perform destructive testing, and assistance with destructive testing protocols. Additionally, DT Services involve documentation and reporting of as-built conditions, sample chain of custody, destructive testing and remediation cost estimates, expert witness services, and damage remediation management.
