RLB Director Katherine Shum, Head of Digital, spoke at the 2026 Digital Engineering Summit – Hong Kong Forum held on 31 May.
In her presentation, “From 5D BIM to AI: RLB Digitalized Cost Management in Full Life Cycle,” Katherine showed how digitalisation is transforming cost management across the project lifecycle, from planning and design to delivery. She highlighted RLB’s AI-driven approach, built on 5D BIM and our central cost database, CostNet, and demonstrated how these tools can improve efficiency, strengthen cost intelligence, and support better decision-making for the built environment.
Under the theme, “Embrace the Future: Co-Creating a New Built Environment Ecosystem for AI × BIM 2.0 in Hong Kong,” the forum provided a valuable platform to exchange ideas on the future of digital construction and innovation in the industry.
