Do you have the skills to lead a building surveying and asset management department?

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the department, and separately delivering technical service lines
• Setting up, leading, managing and delivering the agreed annual and medium-term business plan for project management, employer’s agent and contract administration duties
• Building customer relationships
• Identifying opportunities with existing clients
• Acting as Owners Representative or Employers Agent
• Preparing scheme designs with costing, programs for completion and specifications of work
• Determining the condition of buildings, identifying defects, including proposals for repair and on-going maintenance costs of individual buildings and estates
• Organising documents for tender, and dealing with contractors, designers, procurement
• Funding and development monitoring, including independent certifier roles
• Dealing with planning applications, property legislation and building regulations
• Preparing insurance assessments, valuations and claims

And advising on:

• Modern methods of construction, space utilisation, planning and churn
• Energy efficiency, life cycle costing and environmental impact
• The compliance and health and safety aspects of a building
