RLB doubles-up on Grand Awards for Hong Kong Science Park Phase 3
January 29, 2015.

The newly-opened Hong Kong Science Park Phase 3a + 3b has won the highly-commendable Grand Award at the Green Building Awards 2014, in the New Buildings (Completed) category.
It received the Grand Award in 2012 in the New Buildings (Building Project under Design) category.
Organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council and the Professional Green Building Council, the Green Building Awards recognise outstanding sustainability in building projects.
Highest leadership in energy and environmental design rating
One of the three completed buildings, Building 12W, has been given the highest LEED Platinum rating under the Core and Shell category.
The project showcases a commitment to superior building performance through LEED certification.
Developed by the US Green Building Council, LEED encourages building owners and operators to use resources efficiently, and to be environmentally responsible.
The Science Park Phase 3 project consists of more than 100,000 square metres of gross floor area spanning five modern buildings. These are dedicated to research and development work, specialist laboratories, office and conference facilities.
Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), together with Mace Limited (executive project manager) and Simon Kwan & Associates (lead design consultant), were the key consultants.
