Alastair McMichael to step down in 2016

After 30 years with Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), Alastair will be stepping aside as Managing Director. In his new role he will continue supporting the office by providing strategic advisory services.

Joining RLB in Adelaide in 1986, Alastair moved to our Perth office in 1997 and has been at the helm ever since.

The directors wish to thank Alastair for his leadership, drive and commitment over so many years, and look forward to working with him in the future.

Mark Bendotti said, ‘On behalf of RLB and myself, I would like to congratulate Alastair for his enormous and inspirational contribution as managing director.’

‘He has steered the Perth office through a significant period of development, challenge and achievement. Alastair has also made valuable contributions to RLB as Chairman of the Oceania Management and Legal Committee, and to the quantity surveying profession,’ he added.

RLB welcomes new Managing Director in Western Australia

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Bendotti as Managing Director of our Perth office.

Mark, a current Director of RLB in Perth, takes on the role of Managing Director in April, 2016. He will succeed Alastair McMichael, who is stepping down after 30 years with RLB.

Mark has enjoyed a distinguished career in the construction industry in Western Australia, playing a key role on many of Perth’s largest projects.

His recent projects include Brookfield Place, Capital Square, Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison, Elizabeth Quay, Kings Square development, new Perth Stadium and Waterbank.

Mark is also the current President of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors WA Chapter.

New Directors

RLB has appointed Alistair Aitken and Scott Williamson as Directors of our Perth office, with Steven Harrison promoted to Associate.

Alistair has expertise in a diverse range of complex infrastructure projects, including Aubin Grove Train Station, Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison, HMAS Stirling Redevelopment and Thornlie Link Rail Extension.

Scott has a comprehensive background in commercial construction, having worked on projects such as Capital Square, King Square and new Perth Stadium.
