The Jockey Club Innovation Tower wins RIBA Award
October 27, 2016.

The Jockey Club Innovation Tower has recently won the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Award for International Excellence 2016. RLB in Hong Kong is proud to have provided cost consultancy services to this winning project.
World-renowned architect, the late Dame Zaha Hadid, used an irregular building geometry to maximise spatial configuration within a tight space. Unique features include a curved profile curtain wall system, together with three-dimensional twisted aluminium fins on the façades.
The project involved the construction of a 15-storey building, which houses the School of Design for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation. Facilities include a lecture hall, ten classrooms, design studios and workshops, offices, a design museum, exhibition galleries and a communal viewing lounge.
The RIBA International Prize is awarded biennially, to the most transformative building which demonstrates visionary, innovative thinking, excellence of execution, and makes a distinct contribution to its users in their physical context.
