Two RLB projects received MIPIM Asia Gold Awards

Two RLB projects recently received the Gold Awards at the 11th annual MIPIM Asia Awards gala dinner. The awarded projects included Shanghai Lane 189 and Hefei ID Mall for the Best Retail Development and Best Mixed-use Development respectively.

RLB provided full quantity surveying services to both projects. Led by our Director Ms. Iris Lee, Deputy Director Mr. Zhu Qiao Long and Associate Director Ms. Zhang Min, RLB worked together with the other project team members to develop practical solutions so as to deliver the projects on time and within budget.

Lane 189, located in the Putuo district in central Shanghai – opposite Chang Shou Park and close to the Jade Buddha Temple – is designed to provide a lifestyle destination for local community with young professionals and families. Lane 189 combines retail, restaurant and office spaces in an organisation that rearranges the typical mall into a vertical city centre and provides opportunities for shopping, strolling, eating, gathering and relaxing. The design incorporates elements of ‘old Shanghai’ through geometry, pattern and materialization and combines them with a contemporary urban experience, thereby creating a destination with a distinctly Shanghai feel.

Hefei ID Mall is a commercial project located in new Binhu District that provides a modern lifestyle destination for the fast-growing new community with strong reflection of local culture and history. The project comprises a shopping mall and a high-rise tower for use as office and loft. Inspired by the rich cultural and natural heritage of Anhui Province, the project is designed to create an efficient urban complex of commercial, entertainment, restaurant and office. It provides a new working, shopping and entertainment venue for the expanding urban consumption and has become a new landmark in the city of Hefei.
