Congratulations to Daniel Galea on being awarded the RICS Award for Research Practice at a special ceremony in October.

Issued by Dan Tyson and Ron Wakefield on behalf of RICS Oceania and RMIT University, the prestigious award recognises best practice construction management research.

Daniel said, ‘Combustible cladding is a ticking time-bomb, recently causing a $4.2 billion Victorian lawsuit. My thesis aims to challenge the industry ‘blame-game’, analysing comparable findings and deficient standards to propose alternatives to the currently ineffective Cladding Rectification Agreements.’

‘I commend Daniel for his dedication and commitment in completing his research project to such a high standard. Since joining RLB’s Undergraduate Programme, Daniel has shown an insatiable appetite for learning and it’s a great privilege for me to acknowledge this achievement,’ said Oceania Chairman of RLB, Ewen McDonald.’
