Property Council New Zealand Auckland Property People Awards

RLB proudly support the Property Council New Zealand Auckland Property People Awards.

These awards celebrate the people in property, recognising excellence in leadership and innovation in the Auckland property industry, whilst celebrating outstanding contributions to the industry and economy.

This year’s Awards brought together nearly 400 Auckland property professionals, awarding nine outstanding individuals and teams at a black tie gala dinner on 2 November 2018 in Auckland.

Congratulations to all the winners on the night, with a special mention to Colleen Seth who was awarded the Rider Levett Bucknall Outstanding Leadership Award and the Wynyard Development Team for Best Team Award (which RLB was part of).

Rider Levett Bucknall Outstanding Leadership Award

Colleen Seth, University of Auckland

In her roles as Planning and Development Manager and now Associate Director of Property Services at the University of Auckland, Colleen has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills by driving change.

She has been responsible for master planning, town planning and asset and resource planning for five major campuses and several smaller sites. Colleen is a highly effective leader and manager with an open and honest approach to managing people and projects that has broken down the barriers between the academic functions of the University and the Property Services team. Colleen leads a strong staff development programme, encouraging her staff to engage in ongoing development and to progress through additional tertiary and professional education.

Colleen is highly respected by her peers and the wider development and construction industry. Her commitment to positive change in the built environment is an example to all in the property industry. The judges commend Colleen on her phenomenal project work and believe she is a worthy recipient of this award.

Congratulations Colleen.

Barker & Associates Best Team Award

Wynyard Development Team

Wynyard Development Team have created a world class innovation precinct by forming a partnership between two public authorities and a private property entity that allows the public body to maintain control over the design and performance of the building. The bond formed between the team was reinforced through team competitions, on site BBQ’s and the universal language of food.

The judges were impressed by management’s huge effort to be visible, and credited the attitude and graft put in by the whole team for ensuring the building was finished on time and on budget.

Congratulations to RLB’s Chris Haines and Josh Tattley and to the Wynyard Development Team.
