RLB’s Laura Collins gains double win at RICS Matrics Awards
December 3, 2018.
Congratulations to RLB UK Associate, Laura Collins, who walked away with a double win at the RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year Awards 2018.
Laura was announced the winner of the Quantity Surveying and Construction category and then went on to win the overall prestigious Young Surveyor of the Year award, beating off competition from over 75 shortlisted surveyors, at the awards ceremony which took place on Friday 30 November.
Laura was summed up by Anna Keys, Chair of the RICS UK Matrics Board, as “an exemplary professional who is ambitious, astute and a fantastic role model. Her drive and determination to succeed, and to provide the best work for clients and her employer, is impressive and admirable, and I hope her quick career progression and commitment to inspiring the next generation demonstrates to others just what can be achieved in our industry in a short space of time with motivation and initiative.”
Andrew Reynolds, UK and Global Board Director for RLB, comments: “We are delighted that Laura has been honoured by the RICS judges for her achievements. She is an exceptional talent – not only in her professional life that has seen her become one of the youngest chartered surveyors to qualify and be promoted to an associate – but also in her role as a peer mentor and her work with the UCEM and on RLB’s Futures Board. Well done from all of us.”
