New public school infrastructure delivered for thousands of returning school children

Thousands of NSW school students returned to school full time this week, and will benefit from 14 major school upgrades, representing a $280-million investment in children’s education by the NSW Government.

Earlier this week, Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced, ‘Thousands of students across NSW will be returning to upgraded classrooms, performance studios, sports facilities, outdoor learning areas, halls and libraries.’

‘I am proud of the fact that the 15 upgraded schools have kept 10,000 people in jobs right across NSW,’ she added.

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), led by Stephen Mee and Terrance Lai, has been involved with a significant number of these education projects, providing commercial certainty to School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW).

School upgrades completed, or in the process of being completed by RLB in NSW, include Greenwich Public School Kingslangley Road Campus and Greenwich Road Campus, Epping Public School, Carlingford Public School, North Kellyville Public School, Killarney Heights Public School, Waitara Public School and North Rocks Public School.

Schools currently in construction are St Ives North Public School and St Ives North High School.

Schools at the Meadowbank Education and Employment Precinct are currently in detailed design phase.

RLB Director Stephen Mee said, ‘Education is the foundation to a rewarding and successful life. We are honoured to work with School Infrastructure NSW and the individual project teams, to ensure our children’s education will be supported by these wonderful new and upgraded school facilities.’
