Zespri wins prominent award
July 2, 2020.

Zespri by Warren and Mahoney Architects and Architecture Page Henderson has won a prominent award at the New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA) Waikato/Bay of Plenty Architecture Awards.
Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) provided commercial certainty towards the workplace.
Highly articulated screens, reminiscent of vine and shade cloth, wave from the long north and south façades to passers-by.
For those seated within, the screens afford shade and an undulating frame to Mauao (Mount Maunganui) and the local environs.
The building, which benefits from environmentally sustainable material selection, is a lively workplace and signature presence between the utilitarian port sector and the residential eastern part of the city.
Stephen Gracey, Managing Director of RLB in Auckland said, ‘We are thrilled that three RLB projects have won awards in the NZIA Waikato/Bay of Plenty Architecture Awards. Tauranga Crossing, University of Waikato Tauranga CBD Campus, and Zespri were all revealed last week as winning projects that embody the best of sustainable design practices. Rider Levett Bucknall provided commercial certainty on all three projects. Congratulations to all involved in their successful delivery and completion.’
