This refurbishment involved the restoration of Chelsea House and the H.E.Shacklock Warehouse buildings to preserve and promote Auckland’s history, while also providing modern and functional commercial spaces.
The historic site has been transformed into multiple, adaptive, and character-filled spaces to suit various tenants. Reflective of the market demand for character spaces in vibrant streetscapes, tenants include a restaurant and bar as well as corporate head offices and retail.
The ‘L’ shaped site comprises of the 9-storey Chelsea House and the adjacent single storey H.E. Shacklock Warehouse building. A shared footprint and interconnecting services laneway between both buildings has been created, including three levels of underground carparking.
