ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY POLYTECHNIC CAMPUS SUN DEVILS FITNESS COMPLEX

Awarded the Kemper Goodwin Award from the Arizona AIA, the Sun Devil Fitness Complex (SDFC) is a 62,000 SF building designed to meet the recreation and health service needs of the ASU Polytechnic Campus.

Recreational facilities include cardio and weight training; mixed martial arts and dedicated spaces for zumba, ballet, and spin classes. Gymnasium areas allow for multiple uses, and racquetball courts maximize transparent surfaces for interior and exterior views.

Opened in 2013, the SDFC was designed by the team of Architekton and 360 Architecture, and is LEED Gold certified.

The Kemper Goodwin Award honors the collaborative efforts of the architect, contractor, and owner of a project which embodies design excellence, exhibits outstanding craftsmanship, exemplifies teamwork, and serves the owner’s mission functionally, financially and aesthetically.

RLB provided construction cost consultancy services to the architecture team.
