Overview
The University of Reading invested £94 million to upgrade its residential halls and catering provision, to provide 1,850 new study bedrooms.
The scheme looked at innovative design solutions for student accommodation, and included townhouse-style units to provide an alternative living arrangement to the traditional model.
It involved difficult logistics and program challenges, such as the demolition of the existing Whiteknights and Childs Hall, within a busy campus environment.
