The Design
Originally completed in 1990, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre underwent a major Phase 2 expansion in the mid-1990s to cope with the demand for exhibition space. The construction of Phase 2 was completed in time for the Hong Kong handover ceremony in 1997. In 2009, modifying the existing link bridge into exhibition facilities further expanded the centre.
