HSBC HEADQUARTERS BUILDING

Created by renowned British architect, Lord Norman Foster, and Civil and Structural Engineers, Ove Arup & Partners, this hi-tech building has set a new benchmark for corporate headquarters.

HSBC Headquarters Building Hong Kong is the first of its size constructed totally of structural steel, without any reinforced concrete in its inner core.

The building is 178.8 metres high with 47 storeys above the ground, and four basement levels. The design consists of five steel modules prefabricated in the United Kingdom, using 30,000 tonnes of steel and 4,500 tonnes of aluminum.
