RLB is providing Program Management, Project Management, Cost Management and CDM services for the upgrade and fit out of the entire McDonald’s Restaurant Ltd UK portfolio.
RLB is principally responsible for programing and managing the four-year program to ensure minimal impact on the franchised and McDonald’s owned network of restaurants.
RLB has established a central program office, and is responsible for coordinating information from and to all parties, including internal stakeholders and key supply chain partners.
The office is responsible for building and maintaining the overall fit-out program to provide ‘one program’ to help the McDonald’s business and its supply chain partners resource all store projects.
The program tracks and monitors internal milestones against each project in order to report risks and provide budget cost data. Bespoke reporting dashboards provide key governance data.
We have integrated RLB Field, a mobile data capture system, into the overall project management process, ensuring we incorporate key ‘live’ site data. RLB Field has been introduced to the McDonald’s internal teams, and is used via tablet PCs.
Using RLB Field, the team can capture live progress and other data directly from site, removing the need for time-consuming report generation. This is a key productivity enabler to a ‘Light Touch’ Project Management process, making the best use of mobile technology, coupled with sophisticated data capture, and utilisation by the program management teams.
