Mount Pleasant Phase Two, London, United Kingdom
Client: Royal Mail Group Property
Services: Advisory, Cost Management & Quantity Surveying, Project Management
This involved the refurbishing of business critical assets, which meant consolidating Royal Mail’s delivery office in London.
The delivery office and administration building were refurbished, including two floors for new canteen facilities and offices, a CAT B fit out across over four floors, full window replacement and façade, and redesign of distribution facilities.
RLB employed the design team and consultants and managed the project from initial design through to completion and occupation.
The construction cost for the project was about £53 million, within a London consolidation project with a development budget of £60 million.
At the start of the project, consultation was undertaken with numerous stakeholders who had clearly defined objectives for the new facility.
Despite the ever-changing design criteria, project management, design and quantity surveying teams worked together to deliver a complex project to meet the client’s needs.
This was achieved over a phased two year program while the building remained fully operational.
