Overview

Now known as the State Buildings, the three interconnected heritage buildings have been restored to their heritage standard, and reimagined as Perth’s first six-star hotel (Como The Treasury), a rooftop glass-box restaurant, and the Postal Hall, an internal thoroughfare with tenants selected for their bespoke contributions to the city neighbourhood.

The eight-year, $105 million restoration of these 140-year old buildings, included the four-storey staircase, fa├žade, window frames and jarrah floorboards.

The Details

Since the late 19th century, the buildings have been used as public offices, a police court and cell block. But they had been empty since the government vacated the buildings 20 years ago.

RLB provided full quantity surveying services on this project.
