This design-and-build project involved the refurbishment and remodelling of 30, 200 square metres of office space, revised service and common areas, enhanced landscaping and public spaces.
Improved amenities include a roof terrace with double-height ground floor, and a new restaurant.
The innovative sustainability solutions such as energy-efficient, passive chilled beam air conditioning, LED lighting and natural ventilation reduce capital and running costs for the building.
Our previous experience with passive chilled beams convinced the client to use it.
Designed to achieve an EPC ‘B’ rating and BREAAM Very Good rating.
One Valpy was named Development of the Year 2015 at the Thames Valley Property Awards.
RLB provided quantity surveying, pre- and post- contract cost planning and project management including:
- Preparation of construction budgets
- Employer’s representative role
- Cost management role
- Final account settlement
- Monitoring the completion of snagging items
- Monitoring the completion of defects
- Tenant liaison with incoming restaurant tenant.
