The Design
Pacific Place Mall is one of the largest high quality, mixed-use developments in Hong Kong. The upgrade was designed by world renowned architect Thomas Heatherwick, and included the entire shopping arcade interior, modernising all common areas and external works areas, introducing a purpose-built restaurant and café area, and modernising the entire mall facades.
The Details
The greatest challenge was to keep all shops, and food and beverage facilities open during renovations.
The contemporisation of the Pacific Place Mall is the single largest renovation of retail space in China.
