Overview
Inspired by New Lynn’s industrial heritage, ‘The Brickworks’ dining and entertainment development has given Kiwi Property’s LynnMall a new lease on life. Featuring seven dining options plus an eight screen Readings Cinema, the development increased the centre by 4,700 square metres to 37,000 square metres.
The Details
The brick façade commemorates New Lynn’s history as the brick-making capital of the country in the 1870s.
The design pays homage to New Lynn’s ceramic heritage with materials used harking back to its industrial days. It also aligns with the historic nature of LynnMall, which first opened its doors in 1963.
