Located on a triangular site, Vermilion is the striking regeneration of the Rathbone Market site in East London.

This 63,174 square-metre building consists of 670 apartments, retail, a public library and cafes, built over three development phases.

The new build residential-led mixed-use scheme is developed by the English Cities Fund, as a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal and General Property, and the Homes and Communities Agency.

The Details

Phase 1, completed in 2012, includes a 24-storey residential tower and 271 residential units.

Phase 2, known as ‘Aurelia’, began construction in 2013 and includes 165 apartments, a new public library, and retail space.

Phase 3, commenced in late 2014.

The entire development is due for completion in 2016.
