Rider Levett Bucknall is proud to announce it has achieved Disability Confident Leaders status, the highest level of the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
The achievement recognises RLB’s investment in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive, regardless of disability or health condition. As a people-first organisation, RLB is committed to removing barriers, supporting colleagues through their careers and ensuring that inclusion is embedded across their business.
The achievement also reflects the work of RLB Able, a RLB community for those with disabilities and additional challenges. The community supports those at RLB with disabilities, raising awareness of disabilities within the workplace, creating a forum to influence RLB’s policies and future vision for those with disabilities.
To mark the achievement, RLB has released the latest film in its community video series, with RLB Programme Manager, Emma White alongside RLB Partner Lead – North, Matt Summerhill explaining what it means to be a Disability Friendly employer, what RLB Able community stands for and RLB’s future plans to support this community.
Emma comments,
“Being able to influence the changes that RLB make in their support and how we raise awareness of different disabilities and challenges is really rewarding.”
Matt continues,
“I think one of the biggest benefits of being part of the able community is just that sense of belonging and listening to people with the challenges that they face and how they’ve addressed those challenges.”
