Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Fong as Chairman of the Global Board, effective 1 July 2026, for a two-year term. Eric succeeds Peter Tulla, who steps down as Chair after two years in the role. The Board thanks Peter for his leadership and dedicated service during his term as Chair.
Eric currently serves as Chairman of RLB North Asia, overseeing operations across Hong Kong, Macau and the Chinese Mainland, and has been a Director of the RLB Global Board since 2019.
Based in Hong Kong, Eric joined RLB in 1994 and brings more than 30 years of international experience across the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland. During that time, he has led projects ranging from landmark commercial and residential developments to major infrastructure projects, theme parks and some of the region’s most recognised tall buildings.
A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, Eric holds a Master of Science in Construction Management from the University of Reading and a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He also serves as a guest lecturer at the University of Hong Kong.

I am honoured to assume the role of Chairman of the Global Board at this important juncture for RLB. The global environment in which we operate is undergoing profound change. Artificial intelligence is reshaping industries, geopolitical and economic uncertainties are mounting, and client expectations continue to evolve at pace. Our clients are demanding deeper insights, greater integration and increased certainty in delivery, and RLB is well positioned to meet those expectations. Peter Tulla joined RLB in Adelaide in 1987 and continues as a Director of both the RLB Global Board and the Oceania Board. Across nearly four decades with the firm, he has led projects spanning aviation, defence, healthcare, education, retail and civil infrastructure, and is widely regarded as a trusted advisor to clients across South Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
