RLB has received the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award, the Ministry of Defence’s highest accolade for organisations that demonstrate exceptional and sustained support for the Armed Forces community.

The ERS Gold Award recognises employers who go beyond their commitments as signatories to the Armed Forces Covenant by creating inclusive environments where veterans, reservists and military families can thrive.

As a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant, RLB recognises the contribution of those who serve or have served, and their families, and the unique issues they may face in the workplace.

We support our Armed Forces community by providing specialist advice and guidance, especially at times of deployment, and consult them on appropriate initiatives, activities and policies.

We also educate our colleagues on the benefits of employing and working with ex-servicemen and women and promote RLB as an employer to personnel leaving the Armed Forces.

Andrew Reynolds, RLB Chief Executive for UK and Europe, says:

“We’re proud to count many ex-service personnel among our employees and we value the resilience, skills and fresh perspectives they bring to our teams.

“We are committed to supporting colleagues who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, have family members who are currently serving, or have a connection to the Armed Forces.

“The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award recognises the efforts we are making to ensure the Armed Forces community within RLB always feels welcome, understood and supported.”

Rick Davis, Senior Associate and Armed Forces Community Chair at RLB, adds:

“I’m incredibly proud to be part of an Armed Forces community that has become so much more than a network.

“The Gold Award recognises our commitment to the Armed Forces community, but for me, the greatest achievement is knowing we’ve created a space where friendships flourish, people look after one another, and the unique spirit of the Armed Forces lives on long after service has ended.”
