Colleagues from across our global practice are looking forward to a ‘once-in-a-career opportunity’ to experience different cultures and ways of working as part of their personal and professional development.
One of our key training and development initiatives is the Global Experience Exchange Programme (GEEP), which offers our people a fantastic opportunity to travel and work with and learn from colleagues in cities around the world.
This open and inclusive programme offers a four-week placement in an RLB office, enabling the participants to build networks, work in new business settings and enhance their skills.
Past participants have described GEEP as a life-changing experience that has broadened their knowledge and rapidly driven their development. This is what some of them said:
“It built my confidence in what I do and could do.”
“The knowledge I gained will be incredibly valuable for the future.”
“One of the most meaningful opportunities of my career.”
Our 2025 programme is now underway and colleagues taking part this year include Riyadh-based assistant quantity surveyor Mahmood Al Mardi who will be hosted by our London office, cost manager Luke Ruiter from Amsterdam who will be joining our team in New York, quantity surveyor Erin Yeung from Hong Kong who is being seconded to Sydney and Birmingham-based sustainability consultant Verity Topham who will be spending her placement in Denver.
We will be following their placements with interest and sharing their stories and those of the other participants. We wish them all a safe journey and every success.
Mark Weaver, ESG Legal and Risk Director and head of the programme, says
“At RLB we’re proud of how we guide, mentor and support colleagues at every stage of their careers and GEEP is a prime example of how we invest in our people’s development.”
“In line with our values Together and Tomorrow, the programme supports our commitment to create a workplace culture that enables all our employees to succeed and to nurture the next generation of leaders, not just for our business but for the wider industry.”
