Empowering Edge Capacity
When a sustainable edge data centre operator needed urgent procurement support for its expanding European portfolio, we mobilised quickly – deploying an initial team within weeks before scaling to full resourcing.
Our early focus was on strategic set-up: implementing procurement processes, building and qualifying supplier networks, and aligning delivery across multiple markets. These foundations enabled a seamless shift into tactical execution. Today, we support multiple sites across the UK and Europe.

Unlocking portfolio-wide value
The client’s retrofit model – transforming smaller buildings into edge data centres – poses a unique challenge. Each site offers limited individual leverage in a high-demand supply chain. By taking a portfolio-wide view, we consolidate procurement activity to increase buying power, enhance commercial viability and drive supplier engagement. We manage region-wide RFI/RFP processes to support pricing, purchasing and contract negotiations for long lead time equipment. We leverage economies of scale to reduce lead times and improve commercial terms.
Driving consistency through collaboration
With fast-moving timelines and evolving technical requirements, standard procurement routes are not viable. We use our supplier network and design management expertise to align specifications, bring consistency across packages and capture economies of scale. This approach maintains supplier engagement and secures partners capable of meeting the pace and complexity of delivery.
Real-time insights with digital tools
To enhance visibility, we implemented bespoke digital tools and platforms to track key Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed (OFCI) items across the programme. These tools consolidate data and provide live insight into manufacturing, storage and delivery status, supporting informed decisions and proactive risk management.
Managing logistical complexity across borders
The client’s delivery model involves complex logistics, particularly for DTN (delay-tolerant networks), where equipment moves through multi-stage international routes. We manage these movements end to end – coordinating suppliers, navigating local regulations, and aligning stakeholders to maintain flow and reduce risk.
Expanding services to meet evolving needs
As a result of our impact, our role continues to grow and now includes cost and project management. By integrating these functions, we provide end-to-end delivery support – maintaining pace and control across each stage of delivery. In a fast-evolving environment, we help them turn ambition into execution – delivering cost certainty, programme confidence, and a stronger commercial foundation across every project.
