RLB was appointed project manager of the new 3,251 square-metre civic office project, and helped incorporate a host of environmental features into this BREEAM Excellent design.

It includes a ground source heat-pump system to support the heating and cooling of the building.
It makes maximum use of natural ventilation and daylight, avoiding the need for air conditioning, and minimising artificial lighting.
RLB provided full design and development team services including move management.
The building will save the council an estimated £500,000 a year in running costs.
RLB was awarded Project Management Team of the Year at the Midlands Insider Awards 2013.
