Our projects
Revising and redefining estates
Our work in higher education spans a sector defined by evolving pedagogy, ambitious research and the shifting needs of campus life. We support universities across teaching, research, residential and specialist environments, guiding estate teams with clarity and confidence as they navigate to meet complex, fast‑changing expectations.
With experience across more than 50 universities and over £2 billion of completed projects, we have transformed more than one million square metres of academic, research and student space. by delivering support with new‑builds, retrofits, adaptive reuse and long‑term planning, we help institutions create resilient, future‑ready estates that unlock their full academic potential.

Building tomorrow's campus today
We are an active partner in helping universities to create campuses and learning environments that attract new students, academic staff and industry partners.
We support projects that shape intelligent, sustainable and inspiring estates, facilitate world‑class teaching and research and enhance the student experience.
Enhancing the student experience
The study experience is a key recruitment tool. Increasingly, we are helping more universities to repurpose obsolete stock into student study spaces, carve out cutting-edge laboratories for life science research and reinvent what libraries can offer.
Recent project examples include the delivery of a new sustainable cost-efficient hub for data science research at the University of Hull, ongoing support to the University of East London to deliver its 'Connected Campus' programme to improve teaching spaces and upgrade campus facilties, and helping the University of Bristol move to a bold new home for its dental teaching.
Moving strategic thinking into practical action
Improving student and research outcomes are increasingly underpinned by robust strategies. We're working with more universities to help them realise sustainably-built and progressively-maintained estates.
Notable live example include University of East Anglia, where we assisted in the development of their Estate Strategy and are now working on the delivery of the first phase - the Lasdun Wall phase 1 and helping the University of Manchester to deliver its 3,300 bed Fallowfield student accommodation scheme through one of the largest DBFO deals in the UK.
