Identifying defects to aid acquisition negotiations

Akaria Plaza is a commercial complex located in the centre of Riyadh. The building consists of three basement levels, a ground floor and seven upper floors of offices.

The building is occupied by a number of KSA government agencies and large corporations. In the centre of the property there is a large atrium with a fully glazed domed roof.

RLB engaged with AESG to undertake a preacquisition condition survey focused on the civil and architectural elements of the building as part of the Client’s due diligence. RLB identified a number of defects which required rectification which the Client was able to use during their negotiations with the seller.
