The UAE Space Agency Building in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, is a unique building incorporating sustainable architecture, aligning with the UAE’s vision for innovation and environmental responsibility.
Designed to reflect the country’s ambitions in space exploration, the building features energy-efficient technologies, advanced cooling systems, and renewable energy integration.
The structure was originally designed and constructed to be the UAE Pavilion at Milan Expo 2015. The pavilion’s distinctive undulating walls, inspired by desert dunes, were dismantled and repurposed to form the facade of the Space Agency headquarters. This sustainable approach highlights the UAE’s commitment to reusing materials and minimising environmental impact.
RLB were engaged by Aldar to undertake a technical due diligence study on the property prior to acquisition.
