Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) congratulates Cbus Property on the success of 443 Queen Street, winner of the Award for Best Sustainable Development – Residential at the 2025 Property Council / RLB Innovation & Excellence Awards.

Winner: Award for Best Sustainable Development – Residential

Project: 443 Queen Street – Cbus Property

Rising 47 storeys above the Brisbane River, 443 Queen Street is Australia’s first residential tower to achieve a 6 Star Green Star rating. Its design by WOHA and Architectus embraces the city’s subtropical climate through natural ventilation, shaded verandahs and lush sky gardens.

RLB was engaged for its deep experience in riverfront developments and its ability to guide complex projects through volatile market conditions. When the head contractor collapsed mid-delivery, RLB responded immediately, deploying specialist resources to monitor site progress and evaluate incomplete works. The team’s steady presence helped Cbus Property navigate uncertainty and maintain momentum through construction and handover.

“The project team maintained an unwavering commitment to Cbus Property’s vision. RLB stayed the course to help deliver a building Brisbane can be proud of.”

By pairing financial discipline with design ambition, RLB helped create a vertical village that sets a benchmark for sustainable urban living. Its success reaffirms RLB’s commitment to building a better tomorrow.

As Principal Sponsor of the Property Council’s Innovation & Excellence Awards for more than 40 years, RLB continues to honour projects that inspire sustainability and social progress across Australia.
