The Directors of Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) in Queensland are pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Duncan as Director, effective 1 April 2026.

Nick was appointed Technical Director in 2025 and recently relocated to Townsville to strengthen RLB’s presence across Queensland, supporting both the Townsville and Cairns offices.

With more than 20 years’ experience in quantity surveying, he has built a career closely connected to regional Queensland, leading teams across Cairns and the Sunshine Coast and delivering strong outcomes for clients and project partners.

Chris Marais said Nick’s appointment reflects both his experience and his impact across the region.

Nick’s career reflects a deep commitment to the communities and industries we serve across Queensland. He has built trusted relationships across the sector and consistently demonstrates the professionalism and judgement our clients rely on. His appointment will further strengthen our leadership in Queensland.

Nick’s experience spans a broad range of sectors, including major projects such as Sunshine Coast City Hall, Sunshine Coast Airport Terminal Expansion, Cairns Base Hospital Redevelopment and the Cairns Convention Centre.

Nick said he was honoured to take on the role.

I am very grateful for the support of my colleagues and the opportunity to step into this role. North Queensland has been central to my career and it is a privilege to contribute to the continued growth of our Townsville and Cairns teams. I look forward to working with our clients and project partners to deliver strong outcomes for the region.
