AFGRI HEAD OFFICE

Maximising the visual impact of a commercial building

PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA

AFGRI HEAD OFFICE

On the rapidly-expanding stretch adjacent to the highway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, the new AFGRI head office building has become a significant talking point with its strong reference to Brazilian modernism.

AFGRI is a leading agricultural services company and their new head office in Centurion aligns with a new corporate image.
The building holds the illusion of levitation with a pleasing visual impact, recognized as a remarkable design solution to the contrasting surrounds of low density single houses and the highway, with fast-moving motorists. The office space of 9,500 square metres consists of two office pavilions joined by continues concrete curves and glazed curtain walling, and features a four-storey atrium.
RLB Pentad provided cost management and quantity surveying services.
