Overview
The Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) in Gaborone is a landmark building in Botswana’s capital city, and is one of the premier conference destinations in Africa. The 5,000 square- metre, double-storey building offers world-class banqueting and conference facilities for up to 1,800 delegates and includes a fully-equipped business centre.
The Details
The GICC forms part of the Grand Palm Resort. It consists of the conference centre, a casino, the three-star Peermont Metcourt Hotel and the five-star Peermont Walmont Hotel.
An interesting aspect of this project is that the development was carried out by a private client on behalf of the government of Botswana.
RLB Pentad provided quantity surveying and construction cost consulting services.
