RLB has supported developments across KwaZulu-Natal for more than a decade, working closely with trusted partners to maintain a strong presence in the region.
Durban remains South Africa’s busiest port and a key tourism destination, while Umhlanga has grown into one of the country’s most affluent residential, commercial, and resort areas. As part of the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, it forms an integral part of the greater Durban region.
Now recognised as one of South Africa’s fastest-growing urban centres, Umhlanga has emerged as Durban’s primary economic hub. Its growth has been fuelled by ongoing investment, supported in part by the development of King Shaka International Airport and the adjacent Dube TradePort Special Economic Zone, both of which continue to attract new commercial activity to the region.
RLB has been involved in several landmark developments along the KwaZulu-Natal coastline, including the Workshop Shopping Centre, which played a significant role in revitalising central Durban; the Unilever South Africa headquarters on La Lucia Ridge; and the Tusk Umfolozi Casino and Convention Centre, featuring state-of-the-art event and hospitality facilities.
