PROPOSED FARMERS FIELD

Proposing a world-first stadium for Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, UNITED STATES

PROPOSED FARMERS FIELD

The Farmers Field NFL Stadium was a proposed modern sports stadium, entertainment, and premier convention center in downtown Los Angeles.

Central to the project was a planned 72,000-seat NFL stadium (expanding to 78,000 for special events like the Super Bowl or NCAA Final Four) with a retractable roof.
AEG’s vision was to position downtown Los Angeles as one of the nation’s leading destinations for sports, entertainment, and conventions, and to make Farmers Field one of the most environmentally friendly stadiums in the world.
RLB provided conceptual level construction cost estimates, budgeting assistance, and cost option studies for the proposed stadium. We also prepared comparative construction cost estimates for three roof options to help the decision process.
