Joel Brown

Joel Brown is a Vice President at Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) and a LEED Accredited Professional with more than 22 years of experience in the construction industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Abertay in Dundee, Scotland, and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Joel specializes in project controls for cost management, estimating, change order review, and post-contract administration, with experience on both the consultancy and contractor sides of the industry. His career spans a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects, including iconic commercial facilities, expansive tech campuses for industry leaders like Google and Meta, and data centers for an array of clients. His project experience ranges in scale from $100,000 to over $6 billion.

As the current leader of RLB’s Phoenix office, and with previous leadership roles in San Jose, California, and Tucson, Arizona, Joel brings a regional and national perspective to every engagement. Since 2016, he has overseen a number of Key Accounts within RLB across North America. In this role, he has consistently identified cost-saving opportunities while upholding the highest standards of quality and client service.
