RLB worked alongside ARC / Architectural Resources Cambridge Inc. to provide cost management services to St. Mark’s School, for their new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Center.

to provide cost management services to St. Mark’s School, for their new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Center.
The STEM Center is home to an integrated departmental model that includes mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, robotics and a DNA research lab.
Embracing the core of the STEM educational model, the new building provides students with a transparent and open floor plan allowing for maximum flexibility and shared space. Using glass walls and other unique design features to create connectivity, students and faculty are given a clear view into classrooms and labs, encouraging them to collaborate openly.
Completed in 2015, the STEM Center’s grand opening was timed to coincide with St. Mark’s 150th Anniversary celebrations.
RLB provided cost consultancy services for the project, which included the demolition of a pre-existing structure, the renovation of classrooms, and the addition of new classrooms, labs, prep rooms and offices.
