TORONTO TRANSIT COMMISSION SPADINA SUBWAY EXTENSION
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Spadina Subway Extension is a major, multi-faceted transportation project that provides a Rapid Transit Link (subway) across the municipal boundary between the City of Toronto and the Regional Municipality of York.
The project expands the Line 1 subway line by 8.6 km and adds six new TTC stations. The project also includes the redevelopment of infrastructure displaced by the subway line extension including City of Toronto Fire Station 141.
RLB was retained to participate with the project controls team, Stantec, to provide full pre-construction cost estimates for the project to validate the business plan, including risk assessments. We worked for TTC and undertook a validation of scope and cost for the project. This included Planning, Design, Tender Stage Cost Estimates, Contract Administration, Value Engineering, Studies and Assessments. Financial Modelling was required for each project, and for the overall program.
