BALAM ESCAPE
Covering more than four miles of prime oceanfront in Corozal, the Balam Escape will include 4,500 residences, three luxury hotels, a casino, a golf course, an environmental research centre, a school, and a hospital.
The vision of the developer, Dr. Hartmut W. Porsch, is to create a sustainable, carbon-neutral community that blends into the Belize landscape, making use of its natural resources.
The project will use advanced technologies to provide alternative energy, and process solid and water waste. 1,214 hectares will be kept as natural reserve.
